Are you Tweeting?

If you haven’t jumped in to the world of Twitter yet, it either means you have checked it out, but aren’t interested, have heard of it, but aren’t sure what it is about, or are sitting there right now saying, “What is Twitter?”.

Twitter is basically a stream of short, 140-character messages, or “tweets”, sent by folks from all over the world.  You can follow as many (or as few) folks as you’d like, and the range of people on Twitter is just immense.  You can follow celebrities, sports stars, or your neighbor.  (or us!)

I’ve heard some folks say they don’t bother with Twitter because they already get all the info they need from Facebook…or maybe they just don’t see any reason (or need) to bring more technological confusion in to their lives.  I will say this…it can be hit or miss, depending on who you decide to follow.

That being said, it can be fun (and interesting) to follow some folks as they “tweet”, and it might be something you want to check out.  The MorganMinute is currently on Twitter, and right now, it is really a potpourri of whatever is on my mind at the moment, breaking news, or simple “retweets” of other people’s tweets that I find interesting.

Confused yet?  Don’t be…it is pretty straightforward once you get in and root around a little.

Here’s a little more info on what Twitter is, and how you can get started.

Once you get started, if you’d like to follow us here, just head on over to our Twitter page and hit “Follow”!

There are applications for your mobile phones that will allow you to check and send tweets, or you can do it all online.

You can also follow our Twitterings in the sidebar area to the right, without signing up or anything.

So get Tweeting, Morgan County!!
