Don’t forget…Clocks and Cats

Is that NEW time or OLD time?

Daylight savings time started at 2am today, which means you need to set your clocks forward an hour or risk tuning in to the UK game today around halftime.

However, if you are like me and the games make you so nervous that you almost wish it was already over so you could just see the score, that might not be such a bad thing.

And speaking of those Cats, after completely thrashing the UT Volunteers yesterday, UK will battle the Mississippi State Varnadoes at 1pm on ABC today.

It took coming back from 7 down with 3 minutes left to force overtime for the Big Blue to take them down during the regular season, and I’m hoping that the Cats take the floor with the renewed attitude they showed yesterday against Tennessee.  If not, this game may end up looking more like the Alabama game, and I don’t think anybody wants that.

Then, be sure to turn over to CBS at 3:30 to watch Tubby and Minnesota take on Ohio State.  Tubby has got his team playing VERY good basketball right now, but te hey may still need to win this game to get in to the tournament.  If they DO get in, do not be surprised to see them end up somewhere in Kentucky’s bracket.  The NCAA LOVES a good story to go along with their match-ups, and you’d be hard pressed to find a better one than this.

As a matter of fact, the current bracketology (I hate that word) has exactly that.  First off, they have us facing the winner of Oklahoma St/Louisville in the 2nd round…BOTH of which would be good story lines.  It also has Minnesota in our bracket, but they’d have a tough road to face UK, needing to beat Temple in the first round, which has its own history with Coach Cal, if not UK.

But…first things first.  Let’s dispatch the Bulldogs of Mississippi State and hang another SEC title banner in Rupp.  GO BLUE!
