It is that time of year again, and it is one of my favorites. The last weekend in September means the return of the Morgan County Sorghum Festival. Schools shut down…traffic is rerouted…biscuits are filled with ham…and overalls are pulled from the closet.
This year, things will be a little bit different. Because of the rebuilding of the Commercial Bank, all of the food booths and music have been moved over the hill, down to Old Mill Park. The sorghum sales will all be taking place down there, as well. All of the crafters and the main tent will remain on Main Street.
I’ve seen a few folks wondering about where everything is. One person even said they’d heard it was all moved to the fairgrounds. Hopefully between the main web site, the paper, this site, and social media, everyone will be able to figure it out. It is awfully hard to miss. =)
The site (www.morgancountysorghumfestival.com) and tonight’s edition of the Licking Valley Courier have the schedule of events, in case you need any further information.
Hope to see everyone there!
