Well, I’m sure that most of you have heard by now about “handgate” or “hand scandal” or whatever else you want to call it.

Basically, Sarah Palin has been writing items on her hand to make sure she doesn’t forget them while she’s out there talking.

This wouldn’t be SO bad, except that she recently criticized Obama for simply reading from a teleprompter.

And she is an idiot.

    Admin. I wish I’d seen this before responding to your statement about global warming. What I’ve found is that it is impossible to converse with someone who is hateful and emotional.

    I would think an unbiased person would look at Sarah Palin and see an intelligent, accomplished woman whether they aggreed with her politics or not.

    Welcome to the site, and don’t be sorry at all. This site exists for people to express their opinions, whether they align with mine or not. So, I welcome ALL comments.

    I’m anything but hateful, and I’m not “emotional” in a negative way. I do have strong feelings about a range of issues, but I definitely don’t come at it from any sort of biased point-of-view. I’m an equal-opportunity basher. 🙂

    My feelings about Sarah Palin have nothing at all to do with a bias. I can completely remove myself from the fact that she would have been a heartbeat away from running this country if McCain had been elected and that she somehow feels like she has a legitimate shot at being a contender in 2012 and just talk about what I see on a personal level.

    Her political affiliation doesn’t sway my opinion on her. If she had no aspirations for political office at all and was just making the rounds talking to folks, I would feel the same way about her. She just has an abrasive personality…and when she talks, it is in circles and she is clearly trying to sound more intelligent about the issues than she really is.

    In my opinion, I just find her to be unconvincing, and definitely not as someone who should be seriously considered as a Presidential candidate in 2012, or any other year, for that matter. I think that she plays on people’s emotions, and when you really boil down what she is saying, there just isn’t that much there.

    Like I said earlier, this is just a forum for folks to air their opinions, and while we certainly all won’t agree on what is said, I think as long as everyone is respectful towards each other, it can be a very useful tool.

    I hope you’ll consider coming around again to join in the discussions, even though it is pretty likely that we don’t necessarily stand on the same side of the issues. We both care about our government and how it operates, and that is at least common ground. 🙂
