NUMEROUS sources reporting UK and John Calipari have met, an offer in the range of $6M/year has been made (may include incentives), and it may all be over soon, one way or another.

    See my Tweets for the latest info this evening, but basically it amounts to nothing being “official” just yet, even though various sources are reporting it is done.

    Some other sources saying it is not “done deal” just yet, but it is moving that way…that Calipari just wants to get ducks in a row, including suggesting UM hire UTEP’s coach to replace him (Tony Barbee)…a few other details to be worked out.

    UK is getting a LOT of national coverage these past few days. Sealing the deal with Calipari would certainly put UK right back in the spotlight.

    Do not be surprised if this is one of those situations where we go to bed tonight, with no coach or official word, but we wake up with a new coach and a scheduled press conference for tomorrow. I’m not basing that on anything I’ve seen or heard, but I could just see it happening that way.
