Lots of happenings…

Well, things sure are hectic around West Liberty and Morgan County right now, but I haven’t really had time to keep up my postings like I should have.

I’ve been really busy with work and getting ready for a wedding, so I haven’t had much time for anything lately, it seems! I still have some big ideas for the web site. Just because you don’t see a lot of activity right now on my part doesn’t mean the wheels have stopped turning…not by a long shot. 🙂

Anyway, just to touch on a few things going on around here right …

the disconnect.

i really don’t want to sound old.

i hate the thought of getting old.

one of my wishes, if granted 3, would be to be for immortality. i would want to live forever. now i’d have some conditions…when i’m 900 years old, i don’t want to have the body and mind of a 900 year old man…just sort of freeze my age where it is now…

Jesus family tomb found??

This is a very interesting story, and there will be a Discovery Channel special about it on March 4, 9pm.

Apparently, a tomb unearthed in 1980 may possibly have been the burial spot for Jesus and his family.  According to the story:

“Five of the 10 discovered boxes in the Talpiot tomb were inscribed with names believed to be associated with key figures in the New Testament: Jesus, Mary, Matthew, Joseph and Mary Magdalene. A sixth inscription, written in Aramaic, translates to “Judah Son of Jesus.”

new forums online!

hey folks…thanks for the positive vibes and feedback about the site. i feel really good about this new design and system, and i think with just a bit more tweaking here and there, i’ll have ‘er tuned up just right!

there are several new features i plan on adding in the coming weeks. they will basically have to be prioritized by how long they’ll take to implement, as i’ll be getting married in just about 2 months, and time is at a premium right now!

one of the new features is now available. allow me to introduce the new MorganMinute.com …

some new blogs!

hey folks. just wanted to tell you to be sure and check out the links on the left and right sides of the pages here.  you’ll notice over there on the right something called “blog o’ the moment”.  that lists the most recently updated blog on the site.  see, the Morgan Minute is now more than just ONE site…it will be able to grow and grow!  we’ve already got a couple of new additions, and hopefully you’ll consider adding your own blog!

to the left, you’ll notice the blogroll.  that’s a collection of links to other blogs OUTSIDE of morganminute.com.  …

Will it snow??

well, if you guys are like me, you are pulling for a big, big snow this afternoon and evening. from what i’ve read today, it is seeming like this system may dive south a bit more than earlier predicted, which would pull the heavier stuff down into morgan county.

who knows what will happen.  only time will tell.  but, if you’d like to watch the approaching storm, weather.com has a very cool map you can check out.  you can zoom in, out, view radar, satellite, or both, animate the loop…there’s a bunch of stuff to play around with, so check …

Global warming cancelled…SNOW COMING!!

in the news today, president bush announced that he was canceling his top secret Global Warming initiative in favor of “Operation: Ice Age”. when reached for comment, the president stated that he was getting too much pressure from the “tree huggers”, so he decided to cool things down.

some critics are citing pressure from the special interest group, “Bread and Milk”, to bring colder air to the country. “Bread and Milk” recently made a hefty donation to the republican party. when reached for comment, the director of Bread and Milk said, “I hear snow is coming. Shouldn’t you go to …
