Topix is NOT my creation…

It came to my attention this morning that some folks around town seem to think that I have something to do with the Topix site.  (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you can see it in all its glory here: http://www.topix.com/city/west-liberty-ky ).

It is a New Year…

It is the time when lots of us make promises to ourselves about changes we’d like to make over the course of the year…and many of us also fail to follow up on those promises.

As for me, I have a few.  One of my goals for this year involves making some changes to this site.  Nothing overly dramatic…just some improvements.

I’ll be working on that list more over the next few weeks, but I’d love to hear some suggestions from everyone.

You think this election is ugly?

It is uglier than you know. The first video was taken at a rally in Pennsylvania. The amount of anger and hatred in that crowd is pretty scary, and it is scary (and sad) that this type of attitude still persists in this country.

…and if that wasn’t bad enough, well, just look no further than right here in our own back yard. It is a little sketchy on YouTube about where this video was actually shot. The person who posted it says it was in Eastern Kentucky, while some other folks are suggesting South Carolina. Either way, it is …

Questionable emails? The truth is out there.

I received an email today from a gentleman whose opinion I respect.  He emails from time to time, and in this particular case, the email he was forwarding to me appeared that someone had forwarded it along to him, as well.

I get these types of emails from time to time, and I always feel like it is my duty to check it out a bit more closely and find out what is true and what isn’t.  This particular email takes some “quotes” from Barack Obama, from books that he has written, and tries to use them to convey that …
