The massive earth moving/leveling work continues on Prestonsburg Street. Early word is that a new Dollar Store will be built there to replace the one that currently resides in the old County Office building. No word yet on whether they’ll leave that one standing, too, as 4 Dollar
listen…i don’t care if larry craig is gay…i know it may not be a popular opinion in most of this country, especially in a small town like ours…but if he is gay, then so be it.

so, the space shuttle went into orbit again this week, and once again, NASA is concerned that the underside of the shuttle was damaged by either a piece of ice or foam that came loose during launch and gouged a 3-inch-square hole into the spacecraft’s protective belly.
it seems as though every time we launch a shuttle now, it sustains some sort of damage, which makes you start wondering…was this happening EVERY time the shuttle went up in the past but nobody was paying close enough attention to notice? or maybe they did notice, but just never thought anything would …

The Cougar Corner, BJ’s Quick-Stop, and whatever the name of that one is downtown on the corner of 519 & 460 are offering prices WAY below surrounding areas.

A West Liberty man missing since Tuesday has been found dead, and four people have been charged in connection with his murder.
Doyle Swiney, 59, of West Liberty was found dead Saturday at a creek in the Blairs Mill area near Quarry Road in Morgan County.
