...and this was INSIDE!

Been a crazy hectic couple of weeks, so I haven’t been able to keep up to date on posting…it’s also been too hot to type, so…let’s catch up a little today.

– It looks like the heat will be around all week.  Mid-and-upper-90’s for highs.  The good news is that it looks like a cool down is headed our way for next week.  As nice as last summer was, this one has been equally miserable.

– The old McKenzie’s Shopwise/Department Store building is pretty much gone.  Yesterday it was down to mostly just a pile of …

OK…I’ve had enough.  I like a good Winter and snow as much as the next person, but goodness gracious…let’s get a little sunshine in here.  I swear I think the mud is about 3-feet deep now.  We may be in June before it starts drying out, at this point, and we haven’t even had the Spring rains yet!  Oof.

So, I thought I’d just keep this post short and sweet and let the pictures do the talking.  We could all use a little inspiration about right now. 🙂

There’s quite a few things going on today, but I’ll just hit the high(or low)lights…

– Eric Bledsoe committed to play for the University of Kentucky today.  The high school senior from Alabama averaged a triple-double as a senior last year, and he was one of the most highly ranked point guard prospects in his class, ranked second only to John Wall by many recruiting analysts.

The addition of Bledsoe makes the Cats INSTANTLY better for next season, but it also creates a pretty crowded roster, and they aren’t finished yet!  Coach Cal is still after Wall, and many sources …

What kinds of stuff?  I don’t know.  I just want to throw it open to allow people to chime in on a range of topics…whatever is on your mind right now!

Just a heads-up to folks that there could be some pretty severe winds in the area on Wednesday as a cold front moves through.  Right now, gusts up to 50mph are being suggested as possible.

The only reason I bring it up is that with lots of trees and branches already just barely hanging on for dear life, power lines could be in for another test.

I’ve seen several trees around the area still laying over on lines (most of them appear to be phone lines), and I’m sure there are branches hanging in trees just waiting to fall.  Not …

So….

Sarah Palin is back up there in Alaska, ya know?  Well, I reckon she made a trip out to a turkey farm to pardon a turkey for Thanksgiving…give him his reprieve from the dining room table.

Little did she know that in the background, while she was doing her interview, one of the little fellas isn’t having such a great day. lol…

Election results are starting to come in now, and whichever way this goes, it is an historic evening and election.
