Chris Thile & Michael Daves – Sleep with One Eye Open
What REALLY goes on at Morgan Minute HQ
Well, I write on here often about my plans and dreams for this site…and they are quite ambitious…but then, life just sort of seems to get in the way (plus, having to go to my ACTUAL job, and work on our house, and find time to do whatever else needs to be done…)…and I go missing for weeks at a time.
This site deserves better than that…and I’m going to try and see that it gets it, sooner rather than later. So…I think it is time to find some other folks who …
If you were on Twitter, and you were following @TWCBreaking, you would have already seen this.
But…since you may not be, and since I am…I will share it with you here. 🙂…
Got your goodies yet?
With a general 2-5 inches of snow being forecast for later today in to tonight, bread and milk may be scarce in the grocery aisles right now. I always kid about how folks run out to stock up on food when the least bit of snow is forecast, but truth be told, lots of people in our county live in places where the sun doesn’t always reach, so it doesn’t take too much snow to make it awfully hard for them to get to town.
Also, there just a part of me that always hopes we …
In what sounds like an Italian wrestling match, we take a look in this review at 2 of the single-serve coffee machines on the market currently, the Bosch Tassimo system and the Nescafe Dolce Gusto (the Keurig system is the other primary brand of single-serve brewer, but isn’t reviewed here).
Single-serve coffee brewing systems have gained some steam, so to speak, over the past few years, due in part to their ability to pump out just enough coffee for one person, ensuring that the coffee you get is freshly brewed and hasn’t been sitting in a pot all day long. …
Yep...we like it!
Somewhere along the way, the distributors of music, movies, video games, and various other products, decided that Tuesdays were a good day of the week to launch new items.
Apparently, it has to do with sales numbers, as weekend sales figures are calculated through Monday. So, by releasing on Tuesday, the item gets a full 7 days to register good sales numbers.
But you don’t really care about that, do you?
You just want to know what’s good and what’s not, and we’re going to try and help you out with that. On Tuesdays, we’ll try and …
Perhaps it is easier than all this...
For a while now, I’ve suspected that this holiday season could be the beginning of a turning point in seeing our economy start to rebound, and from the sales figures that are starting to come out from this past weekend, that may just be the case.
Now don’t misunderstand me…1 good weekend does not an economic recovery make.
BUT…
It can signal that consumer confidence is on the rise, and that, as much as anything, can help get us going in the right direction again. In this case, I’m not sure that I’d …
He can save us all!!
I was sitting in Wendy’s today, and as I sat there, a man dressed in a Captain America costume came in. He was dressed head to toe…the torso part had the fake muscles and all…he was even carrying the shield…he was wearing a giant backpack…carrying a very large American flag, with 2 smaller flags flying from the top of his backpack.
He came in, sat his stuff down by a table, took off his mask, took part of the costume off, and got himself something to eat.
I thought it was odd, but then i …

…The robust state of corporate profits presents a paradox: companies won’t spend their money until the economy improves, but the economy won’t improve until they spend their money. An increase in hiring, for example, would help drive a recovery. The New York Times reports this “chicken-and-egg” phenomenon, noting that near-zero interest rates have encouraged companies to borrow money and simply hoard it because, as the NYT puts it, “they can.”…
Are you ready??
Well, it may not be my absolute favorite, but I’d be hard pressed right now to come up with one that is any better.
The 40th Annual Sorghum Festival is this weekend, so make your plans to head downtown and check out all of the fantastic arts, crafts, music, food, and more.
I’ll see you there!…
