Monday Report

It's out there...you just have to dig a little

Well, it is Monday, and that is bad enough.  Throw in a night of restless sleep, and a small amount of it, at that, and you’ve got yourself one great way to start the week! 🙂

But rather than bemoan the fact that is Monday, I decided to post a little good news today…something to help everyone get the week off to a good start.  Only problem is, I couldn’t really find any!!

Don’t get me wrong.  Good news is all around, to some degree.  I’m sure we can all report …

classy frieds. *FIXED!*

Just an update…due to an error on my part, the Classifieds were not working. The bug has been fixed, and now the Classifieds are re-opened for business!

i bet cnn.com doesn't have this problem.

well, thanks to an observant reader, i’ve been informed that our Classifieds are broken right now.  i hadn’t noticed it, because i almost exclusively use Firefox, and it appears to be isolated to Internet Explorer.

i supposed i could just tell everyone to switch to Firefox and save me the hassle of trying to figure out what is busted up, but i won’t….even though you should. …

Who knew…

dear Liza, with what??

So basically, when this whole oil gusher thing began down there in the Gulf, you KNOW they had a meeting trying to figure out what the hell to do to stop it.  At some point during that meeting, somebody said, “Well, we could just try to shove something down in the hole and clog it up…sort of like a cork.”  And, apparently, all the other BP people said, “Listen, Frank, we need REAL ideas.  Anyone else?”.

Fast forward a few months…and Frank looks pretty smart.

Moving on…

So basically, I stink at keeping this site updated, …

OH!…So THAT’S what happened…

No words are needed.

We’ve all been wondering why the economy is in the toilet, but worry no more!!

Thank goodness Rush Limbaugh has figured it out… (taken from here)

Rush Limbaugh said on his July 2 radio show that he believes Obama tanked the economy on purpose, both as “payback” for 230 years of racial oppression and because Obama simply doesn’t like America.

He railed: “Who is Obama? Why is he doing this? Why? Why is he doing it? Is he stupid? Is it an accident? Is he doing it on purpose or what have you? … I think

It’s World Cup Time!!

Well, it started last week…anyway…

For some reason, I always seem to enjoy watching World Cup soccer matches, but outside of that, I find soccer to be about as interesting as hockey…and I don’t mean that in a good way.

Soccer has just had a hard time catching on here in the United States, at least with sports fans.  It seems to be hugely popular as a sport that parents have their kids playing, but at some point there is a disconnect.  In other countries, it is THE sport…here…not so much.

I think this video from The Simpson’s may sum …

What’s on your mind today?

This guy has as good a chance of figuring out how to stop the BP leak as they do.

If you are anything like me, you are happy that it is Thursday, because that means tomorrow is Friday.

I’ve been extra-busy with other stuff and haven’t been able to post any updates in a while, so I figured I’ll throw a few things out there for discussion today and see what’s on your mind.

– The BP leak has been capped but continues to gush oil into the Gulf of Mexico.  Meanwhile, their stock is sliding and some reports say …

Well, this is just unfortunate…

BP's latest attempt to stop the leaking well goes horribly wrong

BP is still causing a mess in the Gulf, and today their efforts to cap the gushing well hit a little snag when the saw blade they were using to cut one of the leaking pipelines got stuck.  Another saw was sent down, and judging by the live video feed, they’ve cut the hell out of SOMETHING.

It is amazing to watch what they are doing 5,000 feet under water, and hopefully this latest effort will work, because up until now, they just really haven’t been able to do …

The Primary is Over…Now What??

"So when you say psychosomatic, you mean like he could start a fire with his thoughts?"

Well, that was fun.

For the past few weeks, the number of visits to the site have been at an all-time high as folks checked in on our primary election polls.  With that now behind us, it is time to turn our attention towards new and exciting things.

I wish I could think of some. 🙂

Some things to get you through your day…I’m not even sure how you could have made it through the afternoon without finding this stuff out, really…

– American …
