Big storms headed our way maybe?

Talk about freaky weather. Yesterday (February 4th) was the 10th anniversary of the “dusting” of snow that happened in 1998. All of the forecasters predicted we would get little or no snow, and I woke up at my apartment in Lexington to find like 10 inches on the ground.

Contrast that to today, which seems like a spring day. The sun is popping out now, which is probably going to warm things up, which will likely make the air even MORE unstable, so that when the cold front arrives later on, things could get messy. So far, it looks like …

A sad loss…

Earlier this week, the actor Heath Ledger passed away. Now, I have never seen arguably his best piece of work, “Brokeback Mountain”, but I have seen him in other films and felt he had tremendous talent.

He had just finished filming on the next Batman movie, which is due out this summer. (if you haven’t seen the NEW and improved Batman, you have got to check out Batman Returns…it is amazing)

anyway, he plays the Joker in the new movie, and from the looks of the trailer, this may be a role that will be as memorable as any he’s …

Study concludes Bush lied

Well, I didn’t really need a study to figure this one out…but maybe it will help dhunley come to terms a bit. 😉

The study counted 935 false statements in the two-year period. It found that in speeches, briefings, interviews and other venues, Bush and administration officials stated unequivocally on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction or was trying to produce or obtain them or had links to al-Qaida or both.

“It is now beyond dispute that Iraq did not possess any weapons of mass destruction or have meaningful ties to al-Qaida,” according to

More Media Bias…

Anyone who thinks the media isn’t trying to influence the election and help pave the way for who the eventual candidates will be is just not living in reality.

John Edwards placed 2nd in Iowa, but got absolutely NO coverage heading into New Hampshire.  Dennis Kucinich wasn’t even allowed to the debate table in Nevada.

And after yesterday’s caucus in Nevada, here is the headline CNN.com went with this morning:

“McCain, Clinton, Romney claim victories” – see for yourself right here.

There’s only 1 problem with that headline.  Even though Clinton technically won in Nevada, Obama got MORE delegates, because …

The Little Candidate who Could…

…if only the media would allow him to.

Dennis Kucinich is a fiery little guy, but you have to give him credit for being one of the only candidates not afraid to speak his mind.

It is too bad that the media won’t support him as a viable candidate.  Hell, he had to file a lawsuit just to force NBC to include him in the debate tonight.

Politics as usual, which makes it hard on an unusual candidate.…

Between Two Ferns.

I love Zach Galifianakis. I don’t want to marry him or have sex with his beard or anything…but he makes me laugh. A lot. Uncontrollably.

Here is a clip from his “show”, called Between Two Ferns, and featured on the Funny or Die website. It is an interview with Michael Cera, the very funny young actor from Arrested Development, and more recently the hit comedy Superbad, and the critically acclaimed Juno.

I don’t think there’s any real foul language in this one, but it is still a more mature video, so it is After Dark material.

Love it.

Between Two …

The Landlord.

If you enjoyed the Good Cop, Baby Cop video, you will also find this one to be hilarious.

It features the same cast of players (Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and baby McKay), and is also featured on the Funny or Die website.

Same warnings apply…some foul language contained within.

Here ya go.
